Aaron Bell and Martin Medeiros join Buckley Law

Aaron Bell, and his firm Bell Law Firm, and Martin Medeiros, and his firm Medeiros Law Group, have joined with the Buckley Law P.C. firm as of August 1, 2023. Both Aaron and Martin will be Shareholders at Buckley Law. Also joining Buckley Law from Medeiros Law Group is contract attorney J. Charles Griggs and Legal Assistant Adya Kadambari.

Bell Law Firm was founded by Aaron Bell in 2000. The firm handled matters ranging from business and commercial to real estate transactions and creditor’s rights/bankruptcy. With more than 35 years of experience, Aaron has represented several lending institutions and private lenders, creditors, businesses of various sizes, and individuals, in a broad array of business, lending and commercial circumstances. He also has handled mergers and acquisitions as well as complex litigation. Aaron is a regular speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars and other events in Oregon and Washington on various topics, including the Uniform Commercial Code, contracts and laws, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures of real property, forcible entry and detainer actions, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and many different bankruptcy topics. Aaron received his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law. He is member of the Oregon State and Washington State bar associations.

The Medeiros Law Group was founded by Martin Medeiros in 2015. The firm provided a range of services to clients including business formations and transactions, intellectual property, information technology, business succession management, privacy and security, and commercial law.

With more than 20 years of experience, Martin helps organizations build value by treating intellectual property as a strategic asset. He works with clients globally by creating legal systems that limit risk and preserve value and has authored and edited various parts of the five-volume set “Advising Oregon Business.” Martin also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oregon and as Chairman of the Small Business Advisory Counsel for the City of Portland. He has negotiated thousands of transactions, teaches on and authored six books on negotiation, and hosts an award-winning podcast, The Persuasion Lab. Martin received his J.D. from The University of Tulsa College of Law, and a B.S. in Finance from the American University Kogod School of Business. He is member of the Oregon State and Washington State bar associations.

J. Charles began working with Martin as a legal intern, and over a decade later he has been in-house counsel for a clean technology company, founded a successful adventure tourism company, and developed a law practice in estate law. J. Charles currently handles estate planning, trademark, and corporate formation in Oregon and Washington. He received his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School and is licensed in Oregon.

Adya joined Medeiros Law Group as an intern and is now a Legal Assistant. She is a recent graduate from Lawrence University and has studied and authored articles on intellectual property and the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the law. Adya plans to take the LSAT this year.
