Associate Attorney – Business Law

Paralegal – Family Law

We have a great team with a strong work ethic, and we are looking for the right person to join us as a Paralegal with a Family Law team. Requested qualifications:
Preferably one year of experience as a Paralegal, ideally with experience in Family Law (Domestic Relations), though consideration may be given without this experience
Experience preparing for in-person or remote litigation, including trials, hearings, and/or mediations
Thorough and organized work processes; excellent attention to detail and follow-through is required for success
Willingness to assist in any task; Uses a team-first mentality to help complete assignments (i.e. filing, electronic filing, preparing discovery, reviewing correspondence, calendaring)
A propensity for electronic communication and electronic document management
An ability to prioritize and juggle multiple, concurrent matters and activities while maintaining a calm presence
An ability to work well and communicate with different types of people, both internally and externally (clients, staff, and attorneys)
Willingness to take on tough assignments and be resourceful
Ability to and experience in keeping attorney(s) organized, including docketing, drafting, etc.
Technology experience – Microsoft Suite, Law firm software a plus (Coyote, NetDocs, DocuSign)

AR and Billing Coordinator – Operations
Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and excellent client service? Do you enjoy staying on top of details, meeting deadlines, and finding thoughtful solutions to challenging situations?
Buckley Law P.C. is looking for an Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is an important role supporting our attorneys, clients, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating professionally and courteously with clients regarding billing and outstanding balances.

Accounts Receivable & Collections
Monitor client accounts receivable and follow up consistently on outstanding balances.
Contact clients by phone and email regarding past-due invoices using a professional, courteous, and solutions-oriented approach.
Maintain accurate and detailed notes regarding client communications, payment commitments, follow-up dates, and account activity.
Calendar and manage follow-up activities to ensure outstanding matters receive timely attention.
Coordinate with attorneys/Partners regarding collection issues, client account concerns, and recommended next steps.
Work with clients and Partners to establish and monitor payment arrangements when appropriate.
Coordinate with the firm’s outside collections company when accounts require additional collection efforts.
Enter in client fee and trust payments
Enter approved account write-offs and maintain appropriate documentation.
Create, maintain, and track client payment plans
Billing & Payment Processing
Process and accurately record daily client payments, including checks, credit cards, ACH and cash.
Prepare and distribute daily receipts reports to Accounting Manager.
Generate and distribute accounts receivable reports to Attorneys and other appropriate members of management.
Prepare and distribute monthly client invoices by email or mail.
Communicate with clients regarding additional retainers, deposits, or payments as requested by Attorneys.
Assist with accurate and timely billing and account maintenance.
Process electronic billing and third-party insurance billing, including submitting, monitoring, and following up on electronic claims or invoices, researching payment issues or denials, and coordinating with insurance carriers and clients as needed
Administrative Support
Manage multiple shared and individual email inboxes, prioritizing incoming requests, responding promptly, routing matters appropriately, and maintaining organized follow-up across competing deadlines.
Maintain organized and accurate client/account records.
Track differing billing and collection needs for individual Attorneys and their clients.
Take deposits to the bank when necessary.
Assist with pre-bill editing.
Take on additional administrative and accounting responsibilities as assigned.
The successful candidate will have:
3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, including billing, eBilling, payment processing, AR reporting, and collections.
Experience in a professional services environment is strongly preferred; law-firm experience is a preferred.
Experience with e-billing, specifically with Timetrix and Legal-X.
Experience with legal accounting software is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when entering payments, reconciling accounts, and documenting client activity.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammar and professional correspondence.
Confidence communicating with clients about outstanding balances while maintaining a polished, respectful, and non-confrontational approach.
The ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and work styles, including clients, attorneys, Partners, staff, and outside vendors.
Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential client and financial information.
Resourcefulness and a willingness to take on challenging assignments and find practical solutions.
The ability to independently track follow-up items and manage different priorities and preferences among multiple Partners.
Ability to manage billing requirements that vary by client, matter, Partner, or third-party payer, while maintaining accurate records and timely follow-up.
Strong ability to navigate multiple systems and billing platforms while maintaining accuracy and protecting confidential client and financial information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and navigate accounting, billing, and practice-management systems.
An AA in Accounting or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
