Matthew Borghard is an Associate with the firm’s Real Estate & Construction Law practice group and a member of the Litigation department. He is part of Chris Fowler’s team. Matthew represents clients in all types of transactional and litigated Real Estate cases. He has handled landlord-tenant matters, land use issues, zoning matters, property rights and boundary disputes, liens and foreclosures, residential, commercial, and agricultural leases, and he also has prior experience litigating Family Law cases. Prior to joining Buckley Law, Matthew was an Associate at Warren Allen, LLP, he served as a Judicial Clerk for the Multnomah County Circuit Court, and he externed for the Honorable United States District Court Judge Ann Aiken. Before attending law school, Matthew was a Political Analyst, a Political Consultant, and a community/developer liaison in Washington, D.C.. Matthew has a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, with a Concentration in Ocean & Coastal Law. He also studied law at George Mason University. He has a B.S. from The College of William & Mary in Government. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys hiking with his wife Kimberly at Tryon Creek, in the Gorge, and at the Coast. Experience
