Sam Rayburn focuses his practice on helping individuals and closely-held companies achieve their goals and protect their business interests. He represents clients across a variety of industries, providing personalized, cost-effective, and practical solutions to accommodate the unique aspects of each representation.  Sam advises clients in the areas of: entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, employment, sports law, business litigation, and dispute resolution.  His practice also focuses on advising clients on a range of intellectual property issues, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Additionally, as a former Division I Collegiate Athlete, Sam is passionate about advising and representing sports-related businesses and athletes and helping them to navigate issues like branding, licensing agreements, endorsements, and intellectual property.  His knowledge and personal experience makes him a valuable business partner to athletes and sports-related businesses alike.

Prior to joining Buckley Law, Sam focused his practice on closely-held businesses working in a team environment to represent clients in a wide range of business issues.  Sam also clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice in the Civil Litigation/Trial Division and worked for Robbins Umeda LLP, a securities law firm in San Diego, where he investigated factual claims for shareholder derivative and class action complaints.

In his personal time, Sam Rayburn enjoys spending time with his family – golfing, cooking, supporting our local sports teams, and connecting fellow entrepreneurs.
