Experience

Molly Becker believes that every client deserves curated counsel who will passionately protect their rights and hold wrongdoers accountable. She is proud to advocate for the most vulnerable and their families in her litigation practice, with a focus on contested guardianships and conservatorships, dependency, and minor guardianship proceedings, restraining order hearings, probate and trust litigation, administrative law related to child and elder abuse investigations, and civil actions for abuse to elderly persons and persons with disabilities. She also represents clients in real estate, contract, and business disputes involving fraud and abuse claims.

Molly earned her B.A. in Psychology from Portland State University in 2011 and began her nearly seven-year career in social work for the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS), Child Welfare as a Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworker, investigating reports of child abuse and neglect on the front lines of protecting vulnerable children in our local communities. Inspired by her years in court as a CPS worker, Molly attended Lewis & Clark Law School, where she was awarded Best Oral Advocate and Best Trial Team; Associate Editor for Environmental Law Review; and worked at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, the Portland City Attorney’s Office, and the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. She graduated with her J.D. in January 2021 and shortly thereafter joined Katelyn Skinner’s team at Buckley Law.

Molly now leads the firm’s probate and trust litigation team, and handles sensitive matters involving elder abuse and child abuse. She specializes in representing clients from the start of a Child Protective Services assessment or Adult Protective Services investigation through the agency review process of Founded/Substantiated dispositions. Molly is also thrilled to have Kathleen Wentz on her team to provide unmatched, individualized service for clients. Kathleen’s background (which includes 15 years as a CPS worker, experience as a victim’s advocate for the District Attorney’s Office, and a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling) makes her particularly suited to provide support to Molly’s clients.

When not lawyering, Molly loves supporting her son at his basketball games, taking care of her Pug and rescue chug, and writing.
