Partner – Business and/or Estate Planning and/or Tax Attorney

  • At least 10 years of estate planning, business, and/or tax experience
  • Deep knowledge in two of the three areas identified

Litigation – Family Law – Project Assistant

We have a great Litigation team with a sense of humor and work ethic, and are looking for the right person to join us as a Project Assistant. **The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a busy family law litigation team and be comfortable doing everything from email filing to document preparation for trial.**

We are looking for a special person who enjoys — truly enjoys — the details and is self-motivated and proactive. If you love accuracy, details, a broad range of responsibility without micromanagement, and are logical thinking, this is a great position for you. If you want very, very specific direction on how to do things or need very methodical processes and no surprises…this isn’t the right job for you.

This position is 40 hours/week (although in times of trial it could be more), and comes with excellent benefits, including 401K, health / vision / dental, free parking, life insurance, LTD, and more.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Two or more years of experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Willingness to do anything, no job below them (i.e. filing, electronic filing, reviewing correspondence carefully, calendaring)

Litigation Legal Assistant

We are looking for a special person who enjoys — truly enjoys — the details of litigation and is self-motivated and proactive as a Litigation Legal Assistant for our Business Litigation Group. If you are comfortable working with an attorney who works remotely often and you enjoy email, this is a great position for you. If you can live with deadlines, you’ll be good. If you want very, very specific direction on how to do things or need very methodical processes and no surprises…this isn’t your job.

We have a great team with a sense of humor and work ethic, and are looking for the right person to join us. **The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience supporting a busy litigation team and be comfortable doing everything from efiling, to email filing, to document preparation for trial.**

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Three or more years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with at least two years in litigation
  • Strong Expertise and knowledge of Oregon court rules. Knowledge of Washington court rules is helpful.
  • A propensity for electronic communication and electronic document management
  • An ability to prioritize and juggle multiple, concurrent matters and activities
  • An ability to work well and communicate with different types of people, both internally and externally (clients, staff, and attorneys)
  • Excellent proofreading/editing skills, with a strong focus on proper grammar
  • A highly organized working process, attentiveness to detail, be thorough in work activities, yet process information quickly. Ability to think ahead and plan accordingly.
  • An ability and experience keeping their attorney(s) organized, including docketing, drafting, etc.
