Legal Assistant – Family Law

We have a great “family” with a sense of humor and strong work ethic; we are looking for the right person to join us as a Legal Assistant / Paralegal (hybrid) with our Family Law team.

Responsibilities will include opening, maintaining, and closing files; calendaring deadlines; court filings, drafting/preparing documents, exhibits, and other activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm, ideally in family law / domestic relations
  • Willingness and desire to do administrative work as part of daily activities
  • Thoroughness in work; excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • A propensity for electronic communication and electronic document management
  • An ability to prioritize multiple, concurrent matters and activities
  • An ability to work well with different management styles
  • Desire to learn and continuously improve skills and abilities
  • Willingness to take on tough assignments and be resourceful
  • Ability to deal with difficult subject matters on occasion

Compensation:

  • Hourly, non-exempt (eligible for OT); consistent with Firm’s compensation structure

Legal Assistant – Real Estate Litigation & Transactions

We have a great team with a sense of humor and strong work ethic, and are looking for the right person to join us as a Legal Assistant with a Real Estate – Litigation and Transactions team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering and responding to, potential and current client calls and emails regarding legal services
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files, along with data entry of information relating to the case
  • Ensuring deadlines are calendared and met
  • Client communications
  • Court filings (efiling)
  • Research and analyze Civil Procedure Rules and local court rules, ensure compliance
  • Prepare documents, exhibits, litigation binders; depending on experience and ability, may draft legal documents
  • Scheduling for attorneys
  • Communications as directed; ensure communications are maintained in the client file (ProLaw)
  • Filing, coping, other administrative tasks
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Two more years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally in litigation
  • Professionalism in communication, both verbal and written; excellent communication and grammar skills
  • Intellectually curious; interested in finding solutions and learning new skills
  • Willingness to do all activities needed for the practice (i.e. filing, electronic filing, reviewing correspondence carefully, calendaring)
  • A propensity for electronic communication and electronic document management
  • An ability to prioritize and juggle multiple, concurrent matters and activities while maintaining a calm presence
  • An ability to work well and communicate with different types of people, both internally and externally (clients, staff, and attorneys)
  • Willingness to take on tough assignments and be resourceful
  • A highly organized working process, attentiveness to detail, be thorough in work activities, yet process information quickly
  • An ability and experience keeping their attorney(s) organized, including docketing, drafting, etc.
  • Technology competence and experience – Microsoft Suite, law firm software a plus (ProLaw)
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification is preferred but not required

Accounts Receivable / Collection Management Specialist

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience working with Accounts Receivable – understanding of billing, payments, AR reports, collections
  • A strong attention to detail, precision with regard to documenting actions and notes, highly organized and thorough
  • An ability to work well and communicate with different types of people, both internally and externally (clients, staff, and attorneys)
  • Willingness to take on tough assignments and be resourceful
  • Excellent grammar and communication ability, both written and verbal

Litigation Attorney (Associate)
