Experience

Jacob V. Sinclair is an Associate at Buckley Law in the Estate Planning & Administration practice group.

Jacob works closely with his clients to prepare comprehensive estate plans that are personalized to their needs and wishes. He is also well-versed in handling complexities such as taxable estates, family dynamics, and expression of desires about medical decisions. During the estate planning process, Jacob collaborates with clients to produce documents such as wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, living wills, and HIPAA authorizations suited to each client.

As a native of a small rural town in western Oregon who spent considerable time working on a ranch, Jacob is also especially passionate about working with clients from agricultural and natural resources-oriented backgrounds and creating estate and business succession plans tailored to their unique needs.

Prior to joining Buckley Law, Jacob worked at a Salem law firm specializing in estate planning and administration. Jacob has a J.D. from Willamette University College of Law and Bachelors’ degrees from Oregon State University in history and Spanish. While in law school, Jacob served as a managing editor for one of the school’s legal journals and was active in the trusts and estates clinic.

In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors and travelling with his wife, daughter, and their dog Wesley. Jacob is fluent in Spanish.
