Stan Rotenberg is a transactional attorney specializing in commercial real estate transactions and general business matters. Stan received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound. Stan is a past Chairman of the Oregon State Bar Joint-Realtors Committee and is the author of the chapter “Warranties in Real Estate Sales” in the Oregon State Bar CLE Fundamentals of Real Estate Transactions.
In his commercial real estate and financing practice, Stan has represented sellers and buyers of real property, as well as developers, landlords, and tenants in the development of condominium projects (both new construction and conversions), shopping centers, apartment buildings, office buildings, and residential subdivisions and industrial property, including the furnishing of acquisition, construction, and commercial lease services. Stan also represents numerous clients in IRS Code Section 1031, Tax Deferred Exchanges. He has represented purchasers and sellers and landlords and tenants of several downtown Portland and Seattle office buildings. Stan has negotiated and prepared office leases for Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. on a nationwide basis. In his business and corporate practice, Stan represents general corporate, limited liability company, partnership and joint venture clients in connection with the formation and the sale and purchase of businesses.
Stan is a past President of the Robison Jewish Home in Portland and has served on its board of directors and executive committee for more than 10 years. Stan is also a past President of the OGA Parents Club, a nonprofit corporation that operates a gymnastics facility in Beaverton, Oregon. Stan is a former member of the boards of the Cancer Research Foundation, the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, the Jewish Federation of Portland and the B’nai B’rith Summer Camp. Stan is also a past President of the Tualatin Country Club. Stan is married and has three daughters. In his spare time, Stan enjoys traveling, playing golf, and University of Oregon football games.
