Krista Evans is an associate in the firm’s Business and Real Estate Transactions group. Krista received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. She received her Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School, with a Certificate in General Business Law, where she graduated cum laude. Krista was awarded third place in the 2010 Federal Bar Association Section on Taxation National Writing Competition for her paper, “Valuation of Closely Held Businesses and their Interests Using the Income Approach”. Krista won Best Oral Advocate and received an honors designation on her brief in the Lewis & Clark Law School First Year Appellate Advocacy Competition. She was also on the Lewis & Clark Law School Scholar List and was awarded the Hattie-Bratzel Kremen Foundation Scholarship (2009-2010).
Prior to joining Buckley Law, Krista worked as a senior associate for an international consulting firm, Bates Group LLC (formerly an LECG company). Krista was part of the Corporate Forensics and Analytics practice group, and worked on various forensic accounting engagements, including special committee investigations of backdating stock options. Krista also performed a vast amount of complex financial analyses for large securities litigation cases. Although Krista was based out of the Lake Oswego office, she frequently traveled to other LECG offices and client sites to assist in a wide variety of matters, including a three month assignment in the London office.
Krista is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon State Bar’s Business Section and Taxation Section and she serves on the Executive Committee of the Oregon New Lawyers Division. Krista is also a member of Oregon Women Lawyers, the Multnomah Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, including its Business Law Section and Young Lawyers Division. Krista is on the board and serves as the secretary of the Portland Chapter of the University of Oregon Alumni Association.
Krista is an avid college football fan, particularly the University of Oregon Ducks, and enjoys traveling in her spare time.
